LIFETOUCH PICTURES:  The LifeTouch photographers will be on the Belleville West campus all day Wednesday, August 24, 2011.  LifeTouch will take all student pictures during all PE, Health, Driver's Education and Music classes in the Gym Annex.  All faculty and staff should have their pictures taken during their unassigned time.  All students should be reminded to bring their LifeTouch picture forms and money with them at the time their picture is taken. - Mr. James

 

Belleville West LITTLE THEATRE opens the 2011-2012 season with the powerful drama The Diary of Anne Frank.  Auditions will be held after school on Tuesday, August 23.  Students in all grade levels are welcome to audition.  Just pick up an audition packet today in room B325 or in room B330. - Ms. Bielong/Mr. Lodle

FRESHMEN:  Do you have the desire to really make a difference this year and become a student leader admired by the entire Belleville West population?  Then STUDENT COUNCIL is for you!  Anyone interested in running for the 2011-2012 STUDENT COUNCIL must pick up a petition in the commons between Wednesday, August 24, and Friday, August 26, during lunch hours.  Each petition should be completed and turned in to the commons no later than 5th hour on Friday, August 26.  There will be a freshman assembly on Monday, August 29, and students running for an office must give a short speech during this time.  The 2011-2012 Student Council will meet every Wednesday and Friday at 7:45 a.m.  Meetings are mandatory, so be sure you can attend before petitioning.  Good luck! - Mr. Woodrome

Be sure to stop by my room to see if you made the bus list and to pick up your permission slip, which needs to be signed by your parents/guardian. The cost for the bus is $10.00. I want your money and permission slips at the same time, no later than Thursday, August 25. I do have a reserve list in case people decide not to go, so stop by and check throughout the week to see if you have been moved up on the list. – Mr. Witt

The Belleville West GIRLS’ TENNIS TEAM won their first match of the season. Varsity 9-0 and the Junior Varsity 6-0. – Coach Bob Keefe/Coach Jennifer Mennerick

 

MAROONS HOCKEY is looking for a few student volunteers for the season. We need a Varsity Announcer to call the home games over the local PA system and play music during breaks, and two energetic student managers for the JV and VARSITY home games to assist parents with the 50/50 and anything the team may need.
