HOBO DAY 2011

Hobo Day is a very old tradition which began when students dressed up to attend school each day. Guys wore khaki pants and dress shirts and girls wore skirts or dresses. Therefore, when students were allowed to wear jeans and T-shirts to school (like a HOBO), this was a big day. In keeping with this long-standing tradition, we continue to celebrate homecoming by dressing up and have extended the tradition by organizing additional activities, making the week special.

SPIRIT WEEK ACTIVITIES

Kiss a Goat for Heifer International-Have you ever dreamed of seeing your Assistant Principal kiss a goat? Well, this is your chance to make your dream a reality! Belleville West Interact Club is holding a fundraiser through Thursday, September 29 to raise money for Heifer International. Through this organization, your money will provide animals and training to help families build a better future for themselves and their communities. The AP of whichever class donates the most money during lunch hours will have to kiss a goat at the Hobo Day assembly next Friday. Look for your AP’s donation box in the commons.
