The Key Club and the Belleville Kiwanis Club are sponsoring an E-cycle day here at West on Saturday, May 14 from 8 a.m.- 1 p.m. Please bring by any electronics that day to donate. We can take used batteries of any kind, used electronics, cell phones, computers, computer monitors, TVs ($5 suggested donation for monitors and TVs), anything with a cord can be recycled. You can bring donations to B108 this week if you are unable to come on Saturday morning.

ATTENTION STUDENTS: The yearbooks have arrived. Your pre-sale books may be picked up on May 12 and May 13 during lunch hours. You will only be able to pick them up during your lunch hour, so do not attempt to pick one up at a different time. Check on the yearbook display case to see if you’ve pre-ordered a book. If you did not pre-order and you would still like to purchase a book, we will have a limited supply available for 60 dollars. We will also be selling previous years’ books. Southern Illinois University at Carbondale’s College of Business is offering an opportunity to explore careers in business. This program is focused at minority students interested in the business profession (management, marketing, finance and accounting). The program will run from June 18-25, 2011. DeVry University’s St. Louis Campus will be offering a 5 week “tuition waived” program for high school students to earn college credit in business and technology courses. This is open to students entering their junior or senior year. Classes begin on July 12 and end August 11. Classes will meet on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Application and paperwork deadline is June 10, 2011. See Mrs. McMurray for an application.
