ANNOUNCEMENTS


AVID- The AVID 9 class is collecting NEW art supplies, books, and games for children at Cardinal Glennon Hospital! Please consider donating to this cause during the holiday season! Items will be collected from Monday, November 28 through Friday, December 9 at collection boxes located in the library, counseling offices, AP offices, cafeteria, and G201.

  

Library- Congratulations to the Library's Once Upon a Crime winners: JD Hill, Izzy Werner, Madison Klomps, Adam Wiley, Adrian Dunnigan, and Rhema Price! Stop by the library to pick up your prize packs!

  

ITS BACK BY PUBLIC DEMAND! Celebrating FIVE years! Belleville’s Got Talent will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Love Church (formerly Belleville Scottish Rite).

The Second Session Belleville CEO Students are now looking for anyone interested in showcasing their talent at their event for a chance to win cash prizes! Whether your talent is a musical act, magic, comedy, dance, etc., we are looking for YOU! Submissions are due December 21, 2022.

    SENIOR NEWS


SENIORS GRADUATION REQUIRED TASK - All Illinois public high school seniors must complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid,) OR sign a FAFSA non-participation waiver form (opting out of requirement) BEFORE APRIL 1, 2023. Info regarding this graduation requirement and the non-participation form are available athttps://www.isac.org/pd/fafsa-mandate.html. Attention Seniors- Are you interested in joining the Military after high school? If so, sign-up for the ASVAB (entrance exam into the Military). Please sign-up on Mrs. Cox’s door in B Bldg., Counseling Office. The test will be on Thursday, Dec 1st in the library. Don’t delay...the test is limited to the first 30 students! See Mrs. Cox with any questions!

Genre of the Month Raffle -Fantasy Fictionis the November Genre of the Month - Fantasy fiction features magical or supernatural elements. This genre can include epics, magical realism, fables, fairy tales, and superheroes. If you're looking for your next read, considerfantasy fiction this month! You can fill out araffle ticketwhen you complete the book before November 30. 

  

Ready for the ultimate reading challenge? BE Library divides our fiction books into eight genres. Explore those genres by reading one book from each genre throughout the 2022-23 school year. Registeredstudents who complete the challenge of reading the eight books by May 1, 2023 will receive the following: a free book and an invite to the library's Readers Celebration party. One lucky student will also win a pair of brand new Apple AirPods Pro! Want a chance to win Daily Grind dollars too? Read along with the library with our genre of the month! The Library still  requires passes for students to visit during their lunch or study hall periods. Pass requests must be submitted on our form  before 9:30 am on the day you want to visit. If you plan on spending 25 minutes or more of your lunch hour in the library you must submit a pass request.  If you do not submit a pass request you will not be allowed to stay in the library.Please check your email prior to coming to be sure your pass was approved. Please contact Mrs. Byrne with any questions.
