Attention all Students! Class Frames are back! During homecoming week each class competes by creating a large painting with the homecoming theme that is displayed on Central Terrace. We will start working on them on Tuesday October 4th and complete them before Homecoming week. If you would like to help, click on the following link for a slides presentation explaining the frames. Need a dress for Homecoming, but short on cash? You're in luck! The counseling center's dress closet has hundreds of beautiful new and gently used dresses in all sizes. All dresses and formal wear are free. We also have a limited number of jackets, pants, and ties. JUNIORS and SENIORS: It's hard to find the time to look for scholarships! Let's go Scavenging for Scholarships, together, on Thursday, Oct. 6, during the A half of lunch hours up in the library. Scholar Bowl- Tryouts will be held in Mr. Appel’s room F107 on Thursday, October 6th at 3:30 PM. Military ​Directory ​Opt​-​Out Form Attn. Junior and Senior Students: As part of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001,our district is required to provide upon request to military or college recruiters a directory listing of any junior and/or senior (grades 11 and/or 12) students, their

addresses and phone numbers. Your parents (or you, if you’re 18 yrs. old or older)

may remove your name and contact info from this directory by completing an

opt-out form and returning it to Mrs. Paulik, Principal Secretary. Opt-out forms are

available for pick up in the Main Office, or by completing the form online at:

Spanish ClubReminder - The $3 Spanish Club dues MUST be paid by Friday, September 30th to Sra. Mueth in F100 before school. Everyone must pay the dues - even past members. They are yearly dues. Thanks!

Attention Seniors!

Senior Photo day will be October 14th on Belleville East’s campus. You MUST sign up for this day in order to participate. What is Senior Photo Day?

A contracted photographer will be doing $20 senior photos for anyone who signs up. The photo will be included in the yearbook, and you will receive a digital copy along with printing rights. This is only ONE photo!Please bring cash the day the photo will be taken. If you would like to book full sessions, see the East home page for approved photographer information. Senior photos should be scheduled immediately. Seniors photos are due by October 28th!

Realistic Fiction is the September Genre of the Month - These are believable stories about imaginary people and settings that resemble real life. Realistic fiction can be humorous or dramatic (and sometimes both!), and should offer insight and reflection about the many realities of humanity. If you're looking for your next read, consider realistic fiction this month! You can fill out a raffle ticket when you complete the book before Sept 30


Ready for the ultimate reading challenge? BE Library divides our fiction books into eight genres. Explore those genres by reading one book from each genre throughout the 2022-23 school year. Registeredstudents who complete the challenge of reading the eight books by May 1, 2023 will receive the following: a free book and an invite to the library's Readers Celebration party. One lucky student will also win a pair of brand new Apple AirPods Pro! Want a chance to win Daily Grind dollars too? Read along with the library with our genre of the month!
