COVID-19 Case Reporting

In order to maintain ongoing communication with the families and staff of our high schools, we will be reporting new cases of COVID-19 on our campuses on a weekly basis. The following numbers were reported in District 201 for the week of

November 15, 2021:  

New Confirmed Positive Cases of COVID-19:     11

COVID-19 Transmissions at School:      0 

*These numbers are reported for the 5,540 students and staff of BTHS 201

This report is updated each Monday for the prior week.

Clubs and Activities


First Priority ~  Please join us for First Priority tomorrow, Tuesday, November 23,  at 7:50 am in D 205 This is a Christian club that is open to anyone who is looking for their "First Priority" in life!

 

Octagon Club-Please attend our meeting Tuesday at 8:00 am in S102. We will be handing out shirts, and we have Adopt-A-Family cards. Also, the parade is Friday, so we have information on time and meeting location.

 

Key Club ~ Our next meeting will be Tuesday, November 23rd at 8 am. Please bring your cash $ donation for Make a Change at East for the needy students.

Girls track and field: There will be Open Conditioning starting Monday, November 29th at 3:45. For anyone who is interested, we will meet in room S202. November is Children’s Grief Awareness month. It is the perfect time to share some resources with students and staff about grief and loss, and particularly the unique needs of grieving teens. It is often difficult to know how to help someone who recently experienced the death of someone close to them. Here are some resources that may help:

*Don’t forget about East’s very own TeenAge Grief support group (TAG) that meets twice a month in the counseling center. Your social workers and counselors are also available to help, so stop by our offices in B building, or send us an email to schedule an appointment to meet!

 

In honor of National Career Development Month, the CAREER COACHING group is meeting on Wednesday during the A half of lunch periods! Come learn what exciting paths await you after East! More professionals are coming to campus before winter break.  Be sure to check out the Career Events page of the College and Career website--linked here!  We will have reps from Aviation, Engineering, and IT all coming up soon.

 

If you are a December graduate, please check your email for amazing opportunities for careers with on the job training in several different fields.  These are "out of the box" opportunities. This link also has helpful leads.

LIBRARY NEWS:


LIBRARY PASSES  Students request their passes through this  link on the library website and must request the pass prior to 9:30 am.  You will receive an email letting you know if your pass was approved or denied.  Students will have to remain in the library for the entirety of the period to limit traffic.  Like last year, this will allow us to safely control the amount of students in the library. 

  • Study hall passes are limited to TWO per week

  • Library will be closed to passes during hours there are classes in the library.
